Happy middle of January! Last year saw a lot of changes around here at Finished Fibers, LLC. We moved into a new home and that means the studio moved, also. The studio moved first, so that everything could get settled and back to work, and honestly, I am still tweaking a few details. The new studio is larger than the last one; I actually have an office space, which is where I am composing this blog. I also have the sewing room, as I like to call it, which is attached to the office. And I have a hall of fabric that still needs shelves! Fabric is easily accessible until we can get to that project.
Even though the studio is still a work in progress, sewing and creating are happening daily! I actually think studios are constantly a work in progress based on changing needs, aquistions, and projects. I do have a very good sewing flow going, so I try not to disturb that, and Lenny has a wonderful new home right in front of the windows.
My workflow spreadsheet is still pretty full, and I have a lot of exciting projects to share. Follow along in the new year to see what gets made in this atelier.
Is there a quilt I can make for you?
Best, Ginger
P.S. I know the world is on fire, but I am working hard to keep the warmth in the studio and people’s lives with fiber art. Everyone is welcome here. Kindness is everything.
